Warm Note For You

Dear Community,

I'm writing to you today to openly discuss the status of my previous game project [Tessa's Fate] and to share some personal context behind its hiatus.

I am writing to you with a heavy heart and a sense of responsibility that has been long overdue.

Before the pandemic, I embarked on a journey to create a game that many of you generously supported. However, the unforeseen challenges of the pandemic led me into a deep depression. Isolated from my family and unable to maintain emotional connections with friends, I found myself in a place where continuing the development of the game felt insurmountable.

In this period of immense personal struggle, I made the mistake of retreating into silence. Instead of reaching out and sharing my difficulties, I allowed the project to fall into an undefined hiatus. I realize now that this silence was not only a disservice to the project but, more importantly, to you - the community who had placed their trust and support in me. For this, I am profoundly sorry.

My silence was not born out of disregard for your support or the project, but rather out of an inability to cope, and admittedly, a certain immaturity. I failed to communicate, a fundamental aspect of our relationship as creator and supporter.

To those of you who supported my previous project, I am committed to making things right. I plan to reach out personally to discuss and offer compensation for the support you gave that went unfulfilled. This is an important step for me in rebuilding trust and showing my gratitude for your support.

Now, I am working on a new game project. This project is born from my recent experiences and represents a fresh start. I want to assure you that the lessons I've learned from my past mistakes are guiding my approach this time around.

Please know that I have learned a great deal from this experience. I am committed to being more transparent, providing regular updates, and ensuring better communication with all of you. I am dedicated to ensuring that this project not only succeeds but also serves as a testament to my growth as a developer and a person.

Your support has always been a cornerstone of my development journey, and I deeply value the trust you place in me as a developer. I hope you will join me as I embark on this new project, and I look forward to rebuilding the trust that was lost.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Warm regards,

AzRabbitz

No matter what... you are a survivor.

Not so many look deep into the void and walked away knowing what they have gained.  Not just that but you have earned your future. Now it is time to walk the path, and when you approach the crest of your goal, know that you are the one that pulled your soul from the depths.

Times were tough, and not everyone was able to keep their heads above the water, sometimes that happens, but  what matters is that you were able to resurface. And I doubt that it was easy, which just makes it even more impressive that you did. We're happy that you're back, and honestly, even just this post makes us happy, mainly because now we know what's happened. Just keep pushing forward, you've got this. ^w^

Times are tough, do what you find fulfilling. The support goes to you, not to specific projects.

Stay safe, and looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Thank you for your heartfelt support and understanding. I look forward to sharing my next build with you and am grateful for your continued enthusiasm and support. Stay safe as well!

The lockdowns hit a lot of us with depression and multiplied a lot of anxiety, and truthfully, while I like this type of content, Sexual and pornographic content does not mix well with depression. You are not alone in your struggles, and beating yourself up over it doesn't help. I've essentially just started getting my life back together since all of that happened myself.

Personally, I don't feel any need for you to repay me as someone who got the demo, if it helped support you then it was worth something, and even more-so if you move on to new projects. I think you show a lot of potential as a game dev, and I look forward to playtesting your future projects, however long that takes. I am little if not patient.

Thank you for your empathy and understanding regarding the challenges I faced during the lockdowns. It's reassuring to know that I'm not alone in these struggles. I deeply appreciate your willingness to support future projects is incredibly encouraging. Your patience and belief in my potential as a game developer mean a great deal to me, and I look forward to the opportunity of having you playtest my future builds.
